Mark started Chemove Limited in the UK in yr 2000 after 10 years with Sasol, where he held various technical and commercial positions, the latest one being Marketing Manager in Europe for the Alpha Olefins Division. He remained a non executive director of Chemove whilst being employed at Elemica in Germany - where he was Vice President of the company's global Supply Chain and Logistics Solutions. Mark started working in renewables in yr 2006 as Commercial Director of Ensus in the UK and subsequently as Vice President for Europe and Africa of Organic Fuels based in the USA. In 2009 he rejoined Chemove in an operating capacity in order to expand the company's footprint beyond consulting and trading into manufacturing and supply of services and projects for the renewable energy, oil and gas sectors -with a particular focuss on projects in Southern Africa.

Mark holds dual South African and UK citizenship. He obtained a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, an M.Sc in Catalysis and Surface Science from the University of the Witwatersrand and has authored process and application patents currently commercialized by Sasol for the production and use of surfactants from Fischer-Tropsch processes. Mark is married with two children.
