Chemove was started in year 2000 by Mark Betts  (Ph.D.Chem.Eng.) with personnel from Sasol Limited and Morgan Grenfell Private Equity of Deutsche Bank.

Chemove Limited is a Registered Company in England and Wales with a local operating entity starting in South Africa. 

Chemove has built up expertise by successfully undertaking international assignments and projects with a focus on petrochemical supply chain and logistics, biofuels and renewables. 

Examples of the Company's Achievements include:

Supply Chain and e-Commerce

• Developed the first pan-european petrochemical logistics exchange.
• Key participant in the strategy, formation and successful commercialisation of a global e-business hub founded by the 22 leading petrochemical companies.
• Subsequent supply chain and logistics e-solution design, implementation  and roll out for petrochemicals industry in Europe. 

Biofuels and Renewables 

• Early commercial participation for raising project finance for Europe's largest bioethanol production facility.
• Sole EU and African representative of the largest biodiesel refiner in Texas, USA, with successful bulk product deployment in the EU.
• Development of soil-to-oil biofuels projects in Germany, Tanzania and Zambia.
• Refining investments and projects undertaken in Southern Africa, by partnering with local oil companies.

Engineering Services 

• Technology acquisition, provision and EPC projects for petrochemical refining and manufacturing.
• On-site service consolidation and product supply through partnerships with local companies.
